We've helped to publish thousands of books for publishers of all kinds from sole traders to international publishing groups covering almost every genre.
If you're considering self-publishing you should also visit
Johnathon Clifford's website and then come back to us with your questions. We are not connected with Johnathon Clifford but his site explains very succinctly some key issues for self publishing authors and could save you a great deal of money.
We're confident in our ability to produce your book to your complete satisfaction which is why we only ask for £150 with your order and there's nothing more to pay until you have seen and approved all the stages of design, editing, typesetting and proofing.
We've helped many authors to publish their own books. We have a simple approach that has worked well for authors and kept costs as low as possible. See our testimonials from satisfied authors and publishers.
BookPlan - Books that are bound to please
What is BookPlan?
Our BookPlan
service is tailor-made to each author's needs. It's ideal for authors who want to
produce a quantity of books and sell directly to their own
trade and private contacts. These books will also be listed in bookshops and with online distributors including Amazon. BookPlan gives you choices about the manufacturing method and the
quality of the materials
used to produce your book. We'll guide you through the choices. Our minimum quantity with this service is
50 books.
Our personal service is assured. You can phone, email or visit us.
We
create print-ready files that are used to print a pre-determined quantity of
books.
You DO NOT pay us a royalty on the sale of each book. All your sales proceeds are yours.
The more
books you order the lower the cost per book.
The price you pay to us is the production cost – NOT a percentage of the selling price.
We give advice about each part of the process.
Our production method ensures you approve each stage of proofs before we proceed to the next.
With this process we only manufacture books which are 64 pages or more when printed and bound.

Do
you supply hardback (case bound) books and paperback (limp bound)
books?
Yes.
Yes. All our
books are produced with a colour cover and there is no cost saving
if you don't have a colour cover unless you are having a hardback
book without a dust jacket.

Yes.

The cost of preparing sample pages is included in our price.
If you ask us to prepare sample pages
before submitting an
order we will charge a design fee to prepare a sample spread. This
must be prepaid but if you proceed to place an order with us you can use
this as the first payment for your order.

Yes. In the meantime you should see http://www.vanitypublishing.info/selfpublishing.htm. We'll show you how to get your own ISBN. The supply of the ISBN is often promoted by companies as a valuable service. However, bear in mind that it's value is highly questionable if it's not in your name.

I'd
like to find out more and talk to someone without obligation. Can
I do that?
Yes. You can email or phone (and
talk to a real person straight away!) or you can arrange to visit
us. Our service is personal and we are always keen to meet our
customers.

I'd
like to proceed. What should I do next?
Email or phone us and we'll ask you for some information about your
book, so we can assess how many pages it is likely to be when printed and
how much work is involved in preparing the book for publication. We'll
advise you of our costs by email (or telephone and letter if you prefer) and if you would like to proceed we'll also send a booking form.

We require £150 with order and the balance
immediately prior to printing.

Subject to a few exceptions VAT is not charged on books i.e. they are zero rated for VAT purposes. The exceptions include, among others, address books, diaries and notebooks. Please ask us if you are concerned your book may be liable to standard rate VAT.
